What Our Clients Say
We have the nicest clients. Here’s what they say about their experience building and renovating with us
Five Steps To Getting Your Stunning New Home
1
Free Creative Call and Low-Level Estimate
This is an informal chat where we seek to understand your plans (even if they are preliminary), help you explore your options, and give you some pricing ideas. This is conducted online or over the phone and there is no charge or obligation whatsoever.
2
Preliminary Building Agreement Proposal
If after our initial chat we are a good fit for each other and you are ready to begin building, we will propose a prelim service package tailored specifically to you and your unique build. This next step allows us to explore the building possibilities for your home, refine your ideas and begin the preparatory work for your build.
3
Concept Design and Mid-Level Estimate
Your ideas are documented in concept drawings with mid-level construction costs so you have all the information you need to move ahead with the next stage of your build.
4
Final Design and Fixed Price Contract
Concept designs are refined into working drawings with input from external consultants (e.g. soil testing and engineering). A building contract that includes all specifications and selections is signed, and final designs are ready for council submission.
5
Building Your Dream Home
All your hard work is done. Sit back and watch us make your plans come to life. We’ll keep you informed at every stage (via our online job management software). And within 6-18 months (depending on the complexity) you’ll have your dream home!
Why Build With Timber?
Many homes in Western Australia are double brick. While bricks have some advantages, we prefer timber and believe it is far superior because:
More Design Options
The versatility of timber gives you more design options including angular facades, high raked ceilings, and almost endless finishing options from modern to classic.
More Space
A timber wall is significantly thinner than double brick giving you an extra 10m2 space on a 250m2 footprint. That’s enough for an additional ensuite, mud room, home office nook or large walk-in pantry.
More Energy Efficient
With the correct insulation, a timber frame home provides up to 60% greater insulating benefit than double brick, saving on power and making your home comfortable all year round.
Super Strong
Few things beat timber for strength-to-weight ratio. Extra bracing (that we add on the windward side of your house) adds even more strength.
Faster to Build
Building with timber eliminates the need for several trades, making the process faster (which means you could save rent and be in your new home sooner).
Change The Look Whenever You Like
Stain or paint any colour you want so your house always looks on-trend.
Add Or Adjust In The Future
Unlike bricks that are difficult (and expensive) to adjust in the future, a timber home can be renovated and extended to seamlessly match your current structure.
Environmentally Friendly
Timber is the ultimate sustainable product. When farmed responsibly, it never runs out. It uses less energy to manufacture and transport. And it saves on heating and cooling making it the most environmentally friendly choice.
